The Hagana was an independent Hebrew defense force, established in 1920 under the rule of the British Mandate, prior to the establishment of the State of Israel.
The museum, located at what previously was the house of the Hagana's founder and leader, Eliyahu Golomb, presents the story of the organization's establishment, its unique role in the national missions of defense and settlement in Eretz-Yisrael and in a range of other national missions such as the clandestine immigration after the Holocaust.
The display also presents the crucial role of the Hagana during the War of Independence and its evolvement into the IDF, Israeli Defense Force.
