The Negev Museum of Art was established in 1953. It is set in a building that dates back to the turn of the 20th century, known as the Governors house that was built in 1906. The building kept its original stone structure and room layout. Now days, there are four exhibition halls where the museum holds changing exhibitions of Israeli art.
