Museums in Israel: North

The Yigal Allon Center

The Yigal Allon Center is a museum in memory of Yigal Allon.
The museum presents the Galilee's unique landscape and history as an ideal ground for exploring past and future issues facing the State of Israel.

The gallery in the lobby shows temporary art exhibitions and around the museum creations of art made by Arabs and Jews in the yearly Spring Gathering.

The "Jesus Boat" A wooden boat that sailed the Sea of Galilee can be seen from around the time that Jesus founded Christianity. The "Jesus Boat" is a one-of-a-kind historical treasure that was found on the shore of the lake between Gennesar and Magdala.
The exhibit of the boat with explanations of the discovery and preservation can be seen in a beautifully designed hall built especially for the boat.
